Srirangam in 1850's to 1900
Srirangam old photos are showing the ancient building technology, philosophy of the science. The sanctified island of Srirangam, near Tiruchchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, is bounded by the River Kaveri and on it are large temple. It is dedicated to Vishnu as sri Ranganatha, reclining on his serpent couch. This holy complex dates mostly from the 17th century, Nayaka period.
